Transmitters fitted on forklifts in a busy warehouse activate backlit door panels at eye level as staff exit the office. This system is used for situations where a forklift may be in close proximity (set between 0-40mtrs) to pedestrians.
Alternately, pedestrians can carry a portable receiver which will vibrate and/or emit an audible alarm when within the set range of the forklift or other plant equipment.
Maintenance crews may use portable floor standing cones when the hazard is not fixed and there is a need to transfer the receiver to the current work area. more........
