Country Crossings
As most country rail crossings are not powered or controlled by bells or lights, the EVAlert system can operate with an activating sensor positioned 'down the line' from the crossing to activate the receiver and trigger lighting at crossing.
City Crossings
With the aid of a sensor monitoring the track area between the boom gates, any object detected by the EV Alert transmitters sensor will activate a warning signal in the cabin of the train fitted with an EV Receiver. Thus allowing the train to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
